Family Economics
7. Does your family consider itself rich or poor, comfortable

We consider ourselves normal, comfortable.

Ha and Canh work all the time, about 17 hours/day.
No holidays.
9. Are you satisfied with your jobs? What do you
like/dislike about them?
Ha's work in an office is satisfactory. Ha and Canh's work in
the field is too hard. We spend a lot of energy, but not in
accordance with our income.

about 120,000 dong ($11 US)/month from farming for a total
monthly income of 260,000 dong ($24 US)/month.
11. What are your total expenses each month for:
Food: 200,000 dong ($18 US)
Clothing: 60,000 dong ($5.50 US)
Total: We spend almost everything we make.

(especially the children's) are from Thailand.
Family Possessions
15. What is each family member's most valued possession?
Why?
Ha: Every possession is valuable, the most valuable is the
house. When you have a good house, you have a good life.
Canh: Everything. A good life for the family is most valuable,
especially the health and happiness of the children.
Huong: Good health for learning and living.
Hung: Ball.
Hai: Candy.
